A short piece of rubber tubing, stretchedover both, holds them together. The expanded upper am H slidesloosely into the open bottom of the titration chamber. A pieceof heavy pure rubber tubing about 25 bore is stretched overthe bottom of the titration chamber and the projecting end wiredtightly around the neck of the bottom piece. Mercury is thenrun in to cover the exposed rubber, thus ms-king a mercury sealjoint. The side-am M is the outlet for ^lu^ioiis. (Photograph 2, large left hand figure). About 5 cp. from = _ __ - ?^ ? ^ the bottom is a side tube^ J, for bubbling air through ^ solutitm dur-ing titration. This tube is bent upward and ends with a cup,K,about even with the top of the chamber. About 5 c^m. from the topof the chamber are two more side tubes, M and M. These, which are ;for the HCl and baryta respectively, are fused through the v/all ofthe chamber. About 1 c,m. from the inside v/all of the chamber, each is bent downward for about c^m., thus making a inside dicmieter of the latter i
