Captain Francis A. Barlow of Co. H, 125th Infantry, was tragically killed in action on October 7th, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. This photograph, labeled with the serial number 61245, was taken as an unofficial documentation of his sacrifice. Issued as an official record on August 1st, 1919.
