210115-N-FA868-1024 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 15, 2021) Seaman Deven Neves, from Virginia Beach, Va., assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), repairs a length of mooring line on the ship’s fantail. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st MEU, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
