To applyit, carry a purse-string suture around each end of the intestine (^, b); insertone end of the bobbin into the extremity of a segment of intestine; drawthe suture tightly around the bobbin, tying with a single knot at first; intro-duce the remaining end of the bobbin into the extremity of the remaining.
