There did not seem to be a significant difference in the number of young per compartment but more counts are needed to verify an equal distribu- tion of embryos among compartments. The ovarian wall becomes thin when distended by maturing embryos but within a few days after the release of the embryos the ovary returns to its quiescent state and the walls become relatively.
