The beam of this crane is made from 1 in. x 6 in. wrought ironor steel. Eyes are forged on the ends of the beam, the brace orstrain rod being secured to the curved end and the crane postpassing through the other end. The post is made from I/i in. 1 he wheels and ball bearings are supported by IJ/^ in. shafts, theends of which are reduced to 1 in. in diameter where they fitinto the side straps.
