WISE space telescope. NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) spacecraft on a work stand. At left on the spacecraft is the fixed panel solar array. In front, the square is the HGA Slotted Array (Ku-Band). WISE is an infrared-wavelength astronomical space telescope that was active from December 2009 to February 2011. It discovered the first Y Dwarf and Earth trojan, as well as tens of thousands of new asteroids.
