Burial At Sea Aboard a Coast Guard-Manned Transport. With Coast Guard and Marine Corps personnel paying their last respects by presenting arms, the body of a Marine killed on Saipan is buried at sea. Services were conducted by Lieutenant William Martin, Chaplain Corps, , of Albany, New York, Chaplain aboard the Coast Guard-manned assault transport.
