TORRETTA. 16. Route. 107 franca (p. 108). The Place Bellevue adjoining the harbour isembellished with a Statue of King Charles Felix in marble, erectedin 1830. On the farther side of the harbour is the Boulevard deIImperatrice. The Environs of Nice are sprinkled with attractive villas andclothed with luxuriant vegetation, and afford a variety of beautifulexcursions. The Franciscan monastery of Cimies, Ital. Cimella, is situated3 M. to the N. of Nice. The best, although not the shortest routeto it is by the new road ascending to the E. from the BoulevardCarabacel (PI.
