Herbaceous Supervisor and Beechgrove presenter Kirsty Wilson stands among fully bloomed Meconopsis ‘Slieve Donard’, at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. The Himalayan blue poppy, for their vibrant blue flowers in May each year. Meconopsis originate from Sino-Himalaya where they grow at high altitudes which experience high rainfall in summer monsoon conditions and heavy snowfall in winter.
