An E-2C Hawkeye makes an arrested landing aboard USS George Washington.


Pacific Ocean, August 22, 2008 - An E-2C Hawkeye catches the No. 3 wire aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. George Washington is off the coast of Southern California conducting flight deck qualifications with Carrier Air Wing 5 for the first time. George Washington departed San Diego en route to Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk as the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
