Another important feature is the positions of the fourthermostats. No matter how the pad is folded, no largefold can be made which does not include a thermostat. Hotspots and the resultant fires are done away with. The cover is gray eiderdown and a washable slip isfurnished. 10-foot cord is supplied with switch placed a con-venient distance from the pad. Y., have recentlydeveloped a new pump for service in homes, summer cot-tages, camps, dairies, small hotels, etc. This pump is known as the Hi-Speedand its predom-inating feature isits high speed of500 whichallows the pumpto be b e 1 t-con-nected to the mo-tor with only asmall reductionand consequentlywith a smallpump pulley in-stead of the largediameter pulleycommonly used. The pump is ofthe vertical recip-rocating type andis suitable forpressures up to43 pounds or 100feet elevation. Itis made in two sizes, 1%-inch diameter with 1%-inch strokeand 2-inch diameter with 1%-inch stroke. The former hasa capacity of 3 gallons and the latter a capacity of 6 gallonsper minute.
