Wat Pho, Temple of the Reclining Buddha, sits across the Chao Phraya River from Wat Arun. The Thais often refer to it as Wat Phra Chetuphon. It holds the Golden Reclining Buddha. It is the biggest and oldest WAT in Bangkok. The large grounds of Wat Pho contain more than 1000 Buddha images, most from the ruins of the former capitals Ayuthaya and Sukhothai. There are circa 95 cheddis in the grounds and 394 bronze Buddha images
