This routeprovides a means of transport to a thickly populated sec-tion, north of Bloor Street, hitherto without any systemof transit, connecting with existing trolley lines. Thefare for a ride is 7 cents, with free transfers to and fromconnecting cars, and to date the service has met withgeneral popular approval. The average number of pas-sengers carried now approximates 6,000 per day, ofwhich about 550 are local riders, who do not transferto the trolleys. Standees are not permitted. The service maintained calls for a five-minute head-way during the morning rush hours, a ten-minute head-way from 9 to 4:30 and a five-minute headwayagain during the evening rush hour, tapering off to a.
