Dresden, Saxony, Germany. 13th February 2020. Dignitaries and residents of the Saxony capital of Dresden join hands to form a human chain in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the WW2 firebombing raids by Allied forces on the city on 13th February 1945. Thousands of people stood together around the old city until the human chain reopened upon the ringing of the bells of Dresden's churches around 6:13 Controversially, the historic city centre was destroyed just a few months before the end of the war and it is estimated that 25,000 people were killed.
