Belfast Cranes

The giant cranes of the once great Harland and Wolf shipyard, Belfast, who built what was perhaps the world's most famous ship the ill-fated Titanic. During WWII the shipyard repaired in excess of 22,000 vessels and built 6 aircraft carriers, 2 cruisers, and 131 other naval ships. At it's peak it employed around 35,000 people. The last passenger liner to be built by the company was the SS Canberra in 1960.
