Lasseter Highway 4 is a 244 km section of sealed road of Highway 4 from Erldunda junction on Stuart Highway in the east to Yuluru in the west. Abandoned cars can be seen next to the Lasseter Highway 4 approximately every 30-50 km. Presumably cheap cars that have broken down and then left because of cost of recovery. Usually easy to remove items have been salvaged later from the vehicles, such as wheels and tyres, by passing motorists or truck drivers.
