Patrick Gallardo, from Livermore, Calif., assigned to Combat Cargo, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), folds the national ensign during a burial at sea ceremony aboard Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Essex is underway conducting routine operations in Third Fleet.
