Robin Erithacus rubecula feeding on worms disturbed by digging gardener


Robins are commonly found in gardens,they are a member of the thrush family;and in Britain are often associated with Christmas tame and confiding particularly in winter when food is scarce. Both sexes look alike and both sing. It is present throughout the year and only scarce in the far north absent entirely from the Shetland They start breeding as early as March and there are often three broods in the year. Young birds are a spotted brown color and do not get their redbreasts until Autumn
