South View of Arundel House in 1646, 1854. Large mansion near the River Thames in London. 'In the South View is shown a strange assemblage of gabled and half-timbered buildings, more in the style of offices than the mansion of one of the most magnificent nobles. On the right is seen the angular pinnacles and central bell-turret of the tower of the old Church of St. Clement Danes, in the Strand; the tower of the present church was not built until 1719, although the body of the church was rebuilt to the old tower in 1682'.
