Born in Ireland, the Doc-tor came here with the family whenhe was small. Landing in America,the Hunters first located in UpperStraussburg, Franklin county. The 455. Dr. W. A. Hunter reason for this choice of location wasprobably due to the fact that an un--cle of the Doctors on his fathers?side, Dr. John Hunter, a noted physi-cian and surgeon and a graduate ofthe University of Glasgow, Scotland,had come liere in 1812 and locatedir. that town.
