We had not proceeded very far before some fragmentsof silver tubes came to light, — no doubt parts of the previously disco-vered censers. The next thing found was a large silver sistrum, one of thefinest pièces in the treasure but in poor préservation. The handle wassurmounted by two Hathor-heads, with an urœus on each side, supportinga smali naos ihrough which the rods were fastened, and above this stood. N 1 and 2 aro llic Ireasure chambers. N° 3 maypossibly bavo liad a round sbaft originally. N G and7 were excavalpd by M. Naville. N° 8 is a round cbamb-er fillcd with black clay, not yet excavaled. In the middle of the room, about 1/2 m. lower than thesistrum. we found a quanlity of bronze objects of this shape ,_0_., andthere were also some traces of wood in the same place. Amid thèse laytliree silver dishes, a plate and two bowls, one of the bowls heing placediipside down on the piale. They had patterns in relief on the outside likethe vessels from chamber 1 and like the bowls from Tell Timai^. In the sameplace lay one or two large lumps of bitumen, bigger than a mans head,apparently deposited hère along with the silver objects. Proceedingcautiously the workmen n
