Scotland. 1960s – A photograph of the TS Queen Mary II. This Clyde steamer, originally named TS Queen Mary was launched at the William Denny shipyard, Dumbarton in 1933 for Williamson-Buchanan Steamers. It sailed during the summer season to the Arran coast and the Kyles of Bute. In 1935, in order to make the name available for Cunard’s new flagship liner, RMS Queen Mary, she was renamed TS Queen Mary II.
