Light micrograph of the gastric wall. The inner folded layer is the mucosa, which has many glands. In the axis of these folds is the submucosa. Externally are the two muscular layers. In the base of the large fold, is a third muscular layer with an ovoid shape. The scale bar corresponds to 2 mm.
