A wheellock sporting rifle, Sebastian Scheidöger, Salzburg, circa 1730. Slightly swamped, rifled octagonal barrel in 15 mm calibre with a brass front sight and cut rear sight. Wheellock is finely engraved with vines and bears the inscription, "Sebastian Scheidtögger in Salzburg". Ebonised fruitwood stock with patch box and moderate bone inlays. Iron furniture.
