Ward is a great favorite with this grower, and some Pink Delight, produced from cuttings purchased from F. Dorner & Sons Co., are quite thirty inches in height at tbe present time. Despite the dull weather, the Dale .Estate had some magnificent cuts, and the supply in the large cellar was de- pleted every evening. Orchids and Beauties were in keen demand. Reports have it that the holiday weather was not at all Christmas-like, and florists throughout the Dominion must have thanked Heaven for this consideration. Today, January 1, is election day here, and the citizens have decided, by a large majority, that the manager of the largest greenhouses in Canada is the best man that can be got as mayor of the town for the year 1912. W. G. P. Marysville, Kan.—H. K. Fisher re- ports that the holiday trade was much better than last year and everything was sold out clean. Carnations were scarce and roses, as a consequence, met with an unusually good demand.
