I feel confident that the percentage of takes would have been con-siderably larger, had situation, etiology and other points been carefullyconsidered in our selection of cases for this series, but in order to testthe procedure, ulcers in many situations and of varying etiology weregrafted. As might be expected, the ulcers on the feet and legs weremore dithcult to heal than those in other situations, and the failureswere confined almost entirely to those regions. I have been able to observe some of these patients for four yearsafter grafting, and there has been no recurrence in a single instance in.
