Earliest Erfurt Kohl-Rabi 427 This turnip rooted member of the Cabbage family is far su- perior to turnips in both flavor and keeping qualities, and is ready long before even the earliest turnips. The above variety is the best of its class, and equally good for forcing in hotbed or greenhouse as well as for outdoor culture. Forms a very smooth root, nearly white, and is at its best when not more than 2 inches in diameter, being then very tender with the combined flavors of a Cabbage and a Turnip.
