As the horses were driven from the arena he found relief in words, as he exclaimed with ringing emphasis: "I must have a horse. I've been hurtling through space as fast as ninety miles an hour in a motor car, and enjoying it, but all along I have been missing something and now I know what it is. I'm not knocking my car but there is one essential thing it lacks, and that is 1-i-f-e.
