When themilk is all soaked in lay the crackers, crust down, in a deep bak-ing dish. Put a small pinch of salt, a piece of butter, and asprinkle of pepper on each one ; then lay in the rest of thecrackers, seasoning in the same way. Beat an egg, mix with onecup of milk, and pour over the crackers. Bake in a quick oventwenty minutes.—Philadelphia Excessive Perspiration.
