Wooden statues on the Hill of Witches Juodkrante Curonian Spit National Park Lithuania
A forested hillside above the village of Juodkrante, in the Curonian Spit National Park, on Lithuania's Baltic Coast, is covered with a weird and wonderful collection of folk wood carvings, most of them at least life-size. The carvings vary from folksy musicians to demons and spirits, as well as more abstract designs. Called the Hill of Witches, all the carvings are done in a traditional style and appear to be quite old.
