Verges, Catalonia, Spain, 5th April 2012. On Maundy Thursday, the Spanish village of Verges is unique for its portrayal of Jesus' critical moments in his life through a passion play, the macabre Dansa de la Mort (Dance of Death) with agile dancers dressed as skeletons and the procession with Jesus carrying the cross through the narrow streets of the medieval village which ends with his crucifixtion.
