H. J. S. INDIANAPOLIS. The Market. The supply of stock continues short. Dahlias are the flowers most in evi- dence and are of good quality. Eoses are slowly gaining in quantity and im- proving in quality, but they are by no means plentiful. Carnations are help- ing out. Quite a number are being cut, but because of the general shortage of all other stock they are utilized imme- diately. The prices range from $1 to $ per hundred. Outdoor stock has gradually deteriorated and decreased in supply until practically none is sala- ble. A few gladioli are available, how- ever. Cosmos has not been so con- spicuous this year as in previous years. A meager supply of good snapdragons clears readily. Calendulas also are wor- thy of mention. The first violets of the season have put in their appearance. Various Notes. T]ie Roepke Floral Co. is erecting a new store. Eugene Dailledouze, of Brooklyn, N. Y., recently visited the E. G. Ilill es- tablishment at Richmond. From there, accompanied by Joseph Hill, he visited Indianapolis and was the guest of A. F. J. Baur. The Bertermann Bros. Co. has been cutting good Golden Glow chrysanthe- mums. John Bertermann, Irwin Ber- termann and Clarence Thomas expected to attend the F. T. D. meeting at De- troit. The former Reinkin range has been rented by Mrs. Gray and will be plant- ed to vegetables.
