‘Ghost House’ is a co-created arts project with pupils from Virginia Primary School exploring an imaginary past for this ‘east London’ house from the nineteenth century to the present day. It traces the change of occupancy and domestic style from the original wealthy Victorian merchant home owner, the Jewish and Irish migrant tenants of the early twentieth century, the 1950s Windrush generation from the West Indies, to the Bangladeshi newcomers of the 1970s.
