A slate-hung bell tower and spire rebuilt in 1822 rise above the nave walls of the half timbered Église Nôtre-Dame (Church of Our Lady) at Châtillon-sur-Broué in the Marne Pays du Der countryside in Grand Est, France. The church, built in the early 1500s, has an unusual fully enclosed porch and is amongst the attractions on a signposted tour of the historic Champagne region's timber framed churches, chapels and dwellings.

Châtillon-sur-Broué, Marne, Grand Est, France: family monuments stand beside the lofty walls and bell tower of the timber framed Église Nôtre-Dame or Church of Our Lady, built in the early 1500s in this small village southwest of the Lac du Der reservoir. The building dates from the first two decades of the 16th century, although the bell tower was rebuilt in 1822 and the tiled roof has been replaced more recently. The building is an excellent example of the half timbered churches and chapels in this part of the historic Champagne region. It has a high and wide nave, a polygonal apse, and - unlike other timbered churches in the area - a large, fully enclosed porch. The church is amongst the attractions on the "Route des églises à pans de bois", a signposted tour of 15 villages in the peaceful Pays du Der countryside covering the Aube, Marne and Haute-Marne departments. They all feature timber framed churches, chapels, houses and farms, with the religious buildings constructed between the late-1400s and the 18th century.
