The Choir of the in Breda with the Tomb of Engelbert II of Nassau. The 15th-century Counts of Nassau were the direct ancestors of King William II. Their tomb in the church of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw in Breda was famous –it was even thought to have been made by Michelangelo. Bosboom painted the figures in 17th-century clothing. At right, a scholar studies the family coats of arms, and at the left an artist admires the monument while his pupil carries his album of drawings.
