Rouart was an old friend and former schoolmate, but Degas was even closer to his brother Henri, an amateur painter whose impressive collection of works by Degas included the great Dancers Practicing at the Bar (). Dancer Onstage later passed to Alexis’s son Dancer Onstage 436134
