Her beauty was recognized in beirigselected May Queen 1928-1929 andmost beautiful in the feature sectionof the 1929-80 Virginia. She was ap-pointed by Governor Byrd to repre-sent the State of Virginia in the Rho-dodendron Festival that was held atAsheville, N. C, last June. Curleys leadership was recogniz-ed when she was elected to AlpliaKappa Gamma in her Junior year.
