Since the first of October,the new north slip has been in commis-sion, the still unfinished passenger andteam gangways providing entrance andexits to and from the ferryboats. Inconnection with the north slip, boatshave continued to dock at the tempor-ary bridge at the end of the adjoiningfreight pkr at the south. Meanwhilework on the superstructure and pilingof the permanent south slip has been advanced so rapidly that by the middleof November it will be in shape for ser-vice. During the last few weeks theentire West Street front of the stationhas been walled in with fireproof
