Col. Thomas Pecina cut the first piece of cake during the Marine Corps birthday cake cutting Nov. 10 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The first slice was given to the oldest Marine present, Master Gunnery Sgt. Eli Ginez and passed on to the youngest Marine present, Lance Cpl. Cory Booher. Pecina is the commanding officer with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler.
