From 1873 to 1875 he was Clerk of the Sen-ate Committee on Claims at Washington, District ofColumbia, and for three years after that was .\ssis-tant to the General Counsel for the PennsylvaniaLines west of Pittsburg. Since 1878 he has prac-tised law in Pittsburg. Mr. Scott has been a Direc-tor in various religious, charitable, and educationalinstitutions and is a member of the University andDuquesne Clubs of Pittsburg. He is a Republicanin his political beliefs but has taken no active partin public life. He married Annie Lyon King, Sep-tember 16, 1880. They have three living children :James King, John Irvine and William R. PRATT, Charles Manville Princeton in Towanda, Pa., 1859; fitted for College atSusquehanna Collegiate Institute in Towanda; gradu-ated Princeton, 1879 ; graduated from Medical Depart- C. .MAXVILLE IKAl L the LTniversity of Pennsylvania, graduating from thatInstitution in the Class of 1882.
