Detail of the windows of the Mantua Chamber of Commerce headquarters, built in 1914 in an eclectic style by the architect Aldo Andreani.
In 1914 the young Mantuan architect Aldo Andreani sees his project of the Mantua Chamber of Commerce completed. Certainly influenced by the Art Nouveau style, he combines it very well with Moorish and Romanesque architectural and decorative elements. The building was little appreciated by Andreani's fellow citizens and this convinced him later to abandon his hometown, disappointed by negative criticisms. He moved with his family to Milan where he continued to work. Only after his death, the body was moved to the Mantua cemetery.
