The school was closed after two days of protests by locals who called for the teacher to be dismissed. The teacher and his family have moved anonymously as they fear for their safety. Another two RE staff have left due to safety concerns and supply teachers are now providing cover. This has become an issue of free speech during the by-election campaign.
