Trollhate's power station also called the oil power is the oldest among those of the state built and owned hydropower facilities. The 1906 Parliament took the expansion decision, and the work started the same year. The station was built in 3 steps, of which the first 4 was taken in operation 1910. Another 4 aggregate was included in the second expansion stage made in 1912-1914. The third stage of 5 aggregates was completed in 1918-1921.
