His experience under Mr. H. H. Littell also en-abled him to be of assistance to the heads of other his new position Mr. Danforth will have charge of a veryimportant property, as the published plans of the Lake Shore Elec-tric Railway Co. contemplate a system of electrical railways con-necting Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland and Ashtabula. The generaloffices of the company are in the Electric BIdg., DANFORTH. MR. WILLIAM PESTELL, electrical engineer for the Lynn& Boston R. R., constituting Division No. i of the lines of theMassachusetts Electric Companies, has resigned this position to MR. STEPHEN L. COLES, who recently resigned as manag-ing editor of the Electrical Review, of New York City, after twelveyears service with that journal, has associated himself with J. Shaughncssy, of New York City, in the business of preparingand publishing technical and trade literature and advertising formanufacturers and others who wish really helpful assistance insuch matters. Mr. Shaughncssy is well known among general adver-tisers. He organized the advertising department for John Wana-maker when the latter began business in New York City. Healso prepared and placed advertising for the first Electrical Showat the Grand Central Palace, New York, in 1896, which will berecalled as a great success. Messrs.
