A new Marine with Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, awaits to his turn to scale a 60-foot tower during the rappel tower event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 27. The Marines had multiple instructors inspect their harnesses prior to ascending and descending the 60-foot tower. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate May 4.
