Grave of Stuart Allen Roosa (1933-1994), NASA astronaut and United States Air Force pilot, and his wife Joan Barrett Roosa (1934-2007). Roosa was the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 14 mission to the Moon (February 1971), staying in orbit while Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell descended to the surface. Roosa, who married in 1957 and had four children, died aged 61 due to complications from pancreatitis. The inscribed image on the left-hand side of the gravestone shows the launch of an Apollo mission on a Saturn 5 rocket. At top is a USAF Astronaut Badge.
