Levonelle emergency contraceptive pill. Levonelle one step morning-after pill in a blister pack with its box. Levonelle is the brand name of an emergency contraceptive pill, available on prescription and over the counter to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It is given as a single pill that must be taken a maximum of three days after unprotected sex. It contains the synthetic hormone levonorgestrel, which disrupts various stages of ovulation, fertilisation and pregnancy. Levonelle is manufactured by Schering Healthcare.
