They in- crease the flow of milk, and add greatly to the flavor and, especially the yellow kinds, to the color of the butter. Culture.—Sow the seeds in cold frames or hot-beds as for early Cabbage, and plant and cultivate as such. Work deeply and well, and give an occasional application of liquid manure. After they be- gin to head, they should be thoroughly watered every day, and the leaves fastened together over the top to protect from the sun and keep white. For late crop sow seed in May or June, and transplant to a moist, rich soil, and cultivate as for winter Cabbage. They require plenty of manure, moisture and good culture.
