But before we fpeak to that, on bothfides you fee it muft be fuppcsd and granted, that theGlobe of the Earth was once fluid, or the exteriorOrb of it; and we ought to confider when, or atwhat Time this was. It muft have been finely at thefirft Formation of .the Earth, when it role from aChaos, and before its Parts were confolidated andgrown hard. Suppoiing then that the interior Orb ofthe Earth was once coverd over with an Orb of Wa-ter, the Queftion will be, how this Orb of Watercame to be coverd with dry Land, or came to bedivided into Land and Water, as it is now.
